About The Alabama Race Series:
The Alabama Race Series is a collection of running events dedicated to making a lasting impact on children in Alabama through the power of sport. Proudly benefiting Magic Moments, the only wish-granting organization dedicated to children in Alabama, this series brings together runners, families, and supporters to create unforgettable experiences while funding life-changing wishes for children facing chronic life-threatening or acute life-altering conditions.
Founded in 1984, Magic Moments is the only wish granting organization dedicated exclusively to children in Alabama. We are a federally recognized 501(c)(3) funded through the generosity of individual, civic and corporate donations. In addition to fulfilling the dreams of children suffering with chronic life-threatening illnesses, we go beyond their magic moment with our annual Family Camp and additional no cost programs. We continually touch the lives of children struggling with illness in every corner of our state.
